How to improve your Nepali typing speed

Accuracy first, then rhythm, then timed tests. A practical routine for raising Nepali words per minute on any keyboard layout.

Accuracy before speed

Net speed subtracts mistakes, so the fastest way to a higher score is fewer errors. Practise with the stop-and-correct setting on, so a wrong key does not advance the text, and keep the keyboard guide visible until you no longer look at it. Speed follows once the key positions are automatic.

Short sessions, every day

Ten minutes a day beats an hour on Sunday. Finger memory forms through repetition spread over days. One lesson plus one 1-minute test is a complete session.

Drill the letters you miss

After a session, the results show which letters cost you the most errors. The drill button builds a short text from those letters. Two or three drills on a weak letter usually fix it.

Move to longer tests

Once 1-minute tests feel steady, switch to 2 and then 5 minutes. Speed in the first minute is always higher than speed held over five, and the longer test is what an exam or a day of office work measures.

  • Start each day with a lesson at the stop-and-correct setting.
  • Take one timed test and note the net words per minute.
  • Drill the two weakest letters from the results.
